Both would be huge Upgrades over what we have. I also would move Saffold out to Play tackle again. IMHO Havenstein is better suited to Play inside. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuotePHDram so you suggest resigning them? If the Price is right : Yes, Quick a One year contract and Britta Maybe Two years Would give Goff some continuity too Go Rams!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuotePHDram not sure how that can be the case...2 are free agents leaving us with 4 who have ever caught a pass (i think thomas caught at least 1). were going to need more than 4 especially given mcvays epnchant for using 11 personnel. draft or fa they need to address wr. They talked about this seasons unit Including Britt and quick in the discussion Would have no problem with the same groupby dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
But we have read dozens and dozens of similar articles about dozens of other hot shot coordinators who were touted as wunderkinds and the next Walsh , Lombardi or Knoll Rams have had their share of it with guts like Martz, linehan, spags or brooks He will have to prove his ability to be a successful NFL HC Until that I will not get my hopes up prematurely. Again. Been burned too many times inby dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
Said they think the WR unit is okay I agree with that O-line is what brings the offense down Address it properly and everyone else from the QB to the RH and receivers will improve Go for that Nr 1 WR in the 2018 draft Go rams!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
That would open another huge hole on the roster to fill Need your picks and free agent money to finally built an oline Go Rams!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteNewMexicoRam Cook isn't the best TE out there, but he's doing much better as a Packer. Exactly Some of that is the QB for sure but IMHO it is coaching and system too to a certain degree Go rams!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
They very likely will not win next year anyway Develop Goff and center your offense and team around him Kid got talent , needs good coaching and time to develop behind a solid line so he does not get driven straight into the ground Go Rams!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSpeed_Kills Last year couldn't pass the ball Recently the Falcons, 49ers, and Ravens have won or participated in SBs and not been dominant passing teams I think what is clear is that many factors contribute to teams winning a SB. Having a top flight QB is certainly helpful but obviously not the only way to do it It is the exception to the rule that you can win it all in this leagueby dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 Three of the four conference finalists have O-Lines rated in the top 6 by PFF. And the other, New England, is 10th. QB and o-line. That is where the success starts and ends. Rams must go all in on the o-line this offseason. I do not care if we go with the same WRs in 2017 as long as the o-line is upgraded soroughly threw the draft and free agency. Plus a new o-line coach to instby dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
:lol1 We are already the doormats at probably every offensive statistic. Go Rams!!!!!!!!1by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
Look at the QBs of the 8 teams in the divisional rounds. Except the guy from Houston they are all considered elite or very good. Not surprisingly the big plays when push came to shove, with the games hanging in the balance came from the passing offense and the QB position. Not more glaring than in the two games yesterday. Yes, Bell was doing a fantastic job but when the game was on the line Biby dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
so frustrating. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteoldmanram Their consistint dropped passes , especialy Quick, were very much a huge problem with that offense Disagree While he had some Drops ( every Receiver has some) Quick should easily have 3 more tds and about 200 yards with a little more accuracy from the QB position and without that horrible and rediculous offensive pass interference call against him Not saying he is the secby dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
SEA is far from done as far as being a true contender is concerned. They have a lot of pieces still in place. Starting with the QB. They ran into a buzzsaw Falcons offense yesterday with key parts of their D out. SEA will be tough again next Season. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
Shades of Kurt the way he stayed calm under that heavy rush and found his Receiver back paddling. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
Pass attempts is not the only stat relevant for a potent passing attack or a good to very good QB. MOF I dont think that stat alone does not prove either a good or bad passing attack. Go RAms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn Quotelaram with a great resume and skins on the wall? Great minds generally come off that way. Mike Martz was the same way. You gotta be confident and comfortable in your own skin to deal with those types. Yeah and Martz never got a head coach offer again. . Very good Point. Martz=great OC. Maybe best ever. Martz also=below average HC. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
More prove this Season. If you have no potent passing game you will go nowhere in the modern NFL. Too bad Fishman did not realize it .Probably still is in denial. Five lost years. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
Fisher , his OC and the o-line were. Rams can not fill all holes on this offense in one offseason. I would go heavy on o-line this offseason and Keep at least one of Quick or Britt. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
I was all for the Shanahan Connection and looking what he does to that SEA defense I believe it would have been a good fit. BTW, Goff often got compared to Ryan. If Goff turns out to be as good as Ryan we can call ourself lucky for the next 12-15 years at the QB Position. Go Rams!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRFIP They tried with Tebow...and VY....and they are trying with Osweiler now...don't work folks. Footwork? Yeah. Throwing motion? No. So let's hope it's not a fatal flaw. I always thought that his throwing mechanics were on one of his strong Points while the footwork was a question mark. If you read now you could get the Impression Goff is a JAG who does nothing right. Bad mechanicby dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
Now bring in the best o-line Coach available and take it from there. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- Not gonna expect a whole lot... would be happy with .... Top 20 offense Top 10 defense 8-8 Think it could happen. Playoffs by 2018 I think your expectations are reasonable. In Addition I want to see Goff make good strides in his development and Gurley return to his form of his rookie Season. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
Has our new HC already a new O-line Coach on his list ? IMHO this will be THE most critical hire regarding the new Coaching staff. Go RAms!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
My biggest fear is if the Rams will harm the effectiveness of AD with an eventual Switch to a 3-4. Where would he fit in ? Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemax @Alden_Gonzalez: Rams had interview scheduled w/ Shanahan Sunday, but Kroenke offered McVay job over breakfast THU. "We knew we had our guy," Demoff said. Surprised that the Rams and Kroenke not even talked to Shanahan who was considered the front runner and hottest commodity by many. Stunning. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
Personally I would have done the hiring in reverse , meaning going with the experienced HC and an innovative OC (be it an old or Young one) but given the names out there this Looks to be a very good combination too. Lets hope this will pan out well for the Rams . Looking at the work WP has done so far in his Career and most recently in Denver we will have an even better D next Season thenby dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSpeed_Kills as potential O and D coordinators? Does that make it easier to swallow? Probably not, Speed. IMHO the leadership from the HC position is the most important thing for this current Rams roster. But I am really torn on this thing because Goff definetely needs a QB whisperer badly. If this can only be attained if you make a young OC the HC so be it. Go Rams!!!!!!!!!!!!!by dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSpeed_Kills McVay is young and looks like he would fit right in LA Part of me worries that there is too much emphasis on that element rather than more traditional skill sets such as leadership, experience, successful track record this is a very risky direction the Rams are going in - they better get this right totally agree, Speed. Very risky move to go for such a greenhorn when itby dodgerram - RamsFootballFans.com
