Could be that this was just about not wanting to pay an ILB, period. Or could be that the Rams are trying to not publicize that he has a bum knee... Or they were intended on trading him and didn't want him to get hurt in practice. They brought Reeder back in April... Is it business? or trying to do the right thing? Or both. I believe MCVay when he says it is in the team's best interest. I don't sby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Their QB costs $1 mil... It will be nice to see them struggle trying to add 60 million and stay under the cap. Would love to see their window slam shut this year and then be in cap hell with zero hope. This isn't Walsh's niners that bought championships.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Good enough to play but not good enough to pay. I think what Jourdan said is probably right... the Rams are hoping someone will replace him mid-season. Guys like Reeder are great to have on a team because they are cheap and a borderline starter. I am not thrilled about him as a starter... hopefully he does better than anticipated. But I am definitely not cheering for his removal. lol. You wby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Last time we saw McVay irritated at a press conference was when Jones' had a knee issue... Putting on my tinfoil hat, I wonder if McVay was irritated with Jones... and him not practicing as a, dare I say it, negotiating ploy? lol I think for the most part I believe McVay when he says he is comfortable with the current group and it's probably very much a football decision... but I think he woulby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Sorry if already posted. McVay said that Reeder and Rozeboom will be the “base” starters as preparation for Week 1 begins. While the Rams may lean on Reeder early in the season — he has worn their “green dot” in the past — they hope young undrafted free-agent Omar Speights emerges as a starter or key contributor down the stretch. All three can help on special teams. Also said they are coby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I feel like it's an excellent roster with depth. Where are you seeing weaknesses? ILB? DL? TE?by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Should be interesting to see how they plan to move forward. At this point I feel as good about Speights as any other option because I feel there is a higher ceiling. Maybe has something to do with the current secondary. And it seems like the trade happened pretty quickly so hopefully more than a 5th. smhby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Quick, good vision and experience... but to me he looked slow and not as strong as I thought based on his height/weight ratio. I want to be a Zach Evans fan but something is missing with him. Fine for a perennial practice squad player and last resort fill in. I would feel more comfortable with Scott coming in for a game or two but basically a coin flip.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
That notches it up a bit. I feel like this is a situation where the Rams are going to be more wary of eclipsing their budget for the position. And the knee might not be as much of the equation as we think.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Every time I think the DL will be OK without him... I watch clips or a game. Hopefully the secondary is up to the task. Jones is a favorite for me. I hope something is worked out.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
but most of it sensationalism... Sky is falling... Evidently it is a "Trade Fiasco" according to one article I read. Rams are just seeing what the market is. imo.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Jones and the Rams disagree on compensation. What's the market for him? I guess that's something that will come to light and then they can proceed accordingly. The Rams don't have to trade him just because there is a partner. They can also insist that he play under the current contract if they don't trade him and then he is a free agent next year. Seems like the Rams are in a no lose scenario,by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I feel like it would be hard not to make the team with those stats. He looks both bigger and stronger than in college. It's a nice find for Snead and company.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
almost convincing. With the amount of research and time getting the words to flow in an easy -to-read manner... this would have taken me hours. The argument it uses doesn't hold up 100% imo but it's credible. And its incredible that an AI program can write this good of an article... and AI is just getting started.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Someone posted "link" and then its kind of migrated into something else. But if it were up to me... I think you have earned the right to post how ever you please. A credit and true contributor to the benefit of everyone here, imo. I hope I have expressed my appreciation before but thank you for all you do here and your participation in general.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
And to think this is done in seconds. Again, credible arguments even if I don't agree with some of the conclusions. And I bet I could post this on a niner's chat and get a lot of love from it. "That is a well written, well thought out post first post Atlantic 9er. Welcome."...by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I think I can surmise the article. It's just interesting how it can pull info and create credible arguments... even if a bit contrived. But its nothing most writer's don't do... Florio types for certain.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I think I find this kind of disturbing because if I had not known AI wrote it, I would have thought a homer Ram fan wrote it or maybe a paid opinion writer.... and written pretty well too, overall. And I agree with some of it but thought there was some reaching going on and some bs... Which is acceptable for a biased report. AI is in the terrible two's.. wait until it's teenager.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I am very comfortable with their depth but I would hope the Rams find a roster spot for him.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
not enough footballs and Stafford will key in on one receiver at times. But he should be comfortable enough with the group he has to spread it around. 50 catches does seem about right but then 3 catches a game seems a tad low, lol... I was reading an article about the top WR groups in the NFL and they had the Rams listed at 10 or 11 in the NFL. They Kupp, Puka and Tutu listed as the 3 main taby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe it's a situation where they know what they have in Reeder. They know his ceiling. And now they are trying to find upgrades. But I kind of feel like there is a comfort level with Reeder. I'm still leaning towards him being safe because of his experience in the defense. One thing is certain, we will find out who stays and who goes soon enough. lolby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Could the Rams have 3 1000 yd receivers? Robinson has never broken 500yds in a season. However, it's been reported more than once that he and Stafford have been on the same page in camp. Robinson played strong (especially the last two games) last season and averaged 14.3 ypc. for the season. I think Robinson will be on the field enough to get close. Is 70 catches and 900yds a reasonable eby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Although I think Hummel is improving and playing pretty well, Speights, as a rookie, seems like he can play. Reeder, if I am not mistaken, is Jones' back up.... and then there is who? lol...by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Is it because McVay finds him too valuable to risk getting g hurt? Or he knows enough about Reeder and wants others to take his spot? Could be either but I am going to guess that Reeder is safe.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Depending on the defense. You may murmur all you like. lol. I think this is going to be a great team but the defense has to be there... and until we know better, I am going with #1 team.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I also think if Rozeboom went down Reeder wouldn't miss a beat. To me he is great back up. I like Hummel a lot too. The Rams have their work cut out for them choosing who to cut. I would hate to lose Speights though.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
I am at 57 on my roster cuts, lol. And I feel like the 4 I would cut could be very solid back ups, if not eventual starters. Trade them? Would they last on the PS? At any rate I feel like there are going to be a lot of tough decisions coming.by Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
will seal his fate. But a few things. The Rams went with 2's and 3's from the start of the game. The chargers did not. They went with 1's and 2's. Bennett did improve the second game. If not for the WTflock INT in the end zone, there wouldn't be as much screaming for a replacement. The other thing is that the Rams went into the season last year with Brett freakin Rypien and he was on the rosteby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
Otherwise they were going with Brett Rypien as the first in line back up. I am on the fence. Bennett makes some nice reads, some nice throws, a few great throws... but he is not seeing the whole field or something. I mentioned his height before as a possible issue. And I hate to do that but some of these throws are so shocking I don't see how it's a mental thing. I am guessing this is somethiby Atlantic Ram - RamsFootballFans.com
