Lol. Well I get your point but he did help bring consistent winning football back to the rams as well as a super bowl appearance. So I think there was more good then bad but I do get your point.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Exactly. As I noted several times I'm a goff fan and I would never place all the blame on him but he does deserve some. I hope he takes the next step at some point.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
So how would you verify survey data? Or do you think policy is not developed based on self report data? In addition how did Moderna or Pfizer identify the side effects? Tbh...I don't know but the most likely is via a survey. Did they verify the data? If so how. If I reported a headache after getting the vaccine how does one verify the validity of my claim?by PHDram - Bucky's Pub
i agree with the issues in the data that you noted. that being said im not sure i would use the word misrepresent. in other words, i dont think most people would take the time to log into the system and intentionally lie. Seems like a pain in the ass to me. Rather i think most generally feel (rightly or wrongly) that the vaccine had a role in the death of a loved one. Either way, the data likeby PHDram - Bucky's Pub
so i guess you dont think crime and substance abuse are serious problems, both of which people die from, but whatever thats fine. in any event i noted several times that there are problems with the data. However it is DATA (which the poster denied) and it can used in research as another source. Such research is conducted all the time to triangulate findings derived from various sources. forby PHDram - Bucky's Pub
If I conduct a survey and ask about crimes committed or substance use how does one verify those responses? Further as I noted there ARE problems with this data but its still data and can be used for research purposes.by PHDram - Bucky's Pub
Researchers use self report data in peer reviewed publications ALL THE TIME. Anyone who would deny that simply doesn't know what they are talking about. That being said, there are some problems with the data but again most data sources have some sort of systematic errors.by PHDram - Bucky's Pub
I dont really disagree with anything you said here but I think you need to throw hollins into the mix. Imo he could win the olb spot opposite floyd especially if Lewis has injury issues again.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Yup. Im ok with with the poster choosing not to get the vaccine but im also ok with the rams choosing not to permit unvaccinated patrons. Kinda like no shoes no service. Enforcing that rule may be problematic due to hippa tho.by PHDram - Bucky's Pub
I fully admit it may be selective memory but I feel we have been missing those type of back shoulder fade in the endzone type plays. Good to see.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed. Goff did not lose the SB. That games hinged on a few big plays. Brady and gronk made them. Goff and Cooks did not. If Cooks catching either of those td passes, particularly the second which was a perfect pass in tight coverage the outcome may have been very different. In any case I don't blame Goff. I dont necessarily blame mcvay either but I do think he got outcoached in that game.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Is that you focus on the forest instead of the trees. In otherwords it ignores the type of defense or specifuc teams he faced. Goff seemed to have trouble with the same teams and/or same defensive systems starting with the SB. This issue sugests the possibility that he didn't have trouble reading defenses overall but may have had trouble with certain defenses or schemes which in turn frustrated mby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
It's hard imo to pinpoint what exactly went wrong in this marriage but I do believe Goff can be successful in this league. Maybe he just needs to mature a bit more. Or maybe the trade will light a fire and drive him to be better. It wouldn't be the first time a qb heightens his game after some adversity. But that being said I see how mcvay didn't want to wait around and find out. They have 2 of aby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not saying mcvay is perfect. Who is? But this narrative that he somehow became this toxic influence on goff is unsubstantiated. I mean ask cousins. He has attributed his success to mcvay on numerous occasions. And in terms of coaches Morris jumped at the chance to coach with mcvay again.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
You dont buy mine or other versions of what happened and I don't buy yours. Yours is substantially based on a single story by thirry which NO ONE else has corroborated. In contrast we have years of observational evidence of seeing mcvay navigate the complexities of the nfl including his past and present relationships with coaches and players which provides zero evidence indicating mcvay to be a bby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
so tbh...i was not expecting goff to be traded and nor did i want that to happen. Instead i thought the plan would be to protect goff better. I think its obvious that mcvay felt the issue was more goff and less then line. I dont know at this juncture if he will be proven right or not but i too am excited to see what stafford can accomplish with these weapons and this defense.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
you seem to want us to believe that mcvay is some sort of belligerent temperamental child who unjustifiably criticized his qb. seems hard to believe, i dont buy it. there is zero evidence of this other than 1 report by thiry. why you would choose to believe that 1 report other than the years of observation is beyond me. its much more likely that mcvay grew frustrated with goff's inconsistency/laby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
i think you answered your own question. i think the pass rush production will come from lewis and hollins mostly. in addition to b brown as you mentioned, i think e brown can contribute a bit as well.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
i havent been one to bash goff. i liked him when he was here and i wish him nothing but the best with the lions. i hope he realizes his potential. however, picking up on this quote from mcvay, one starts to wonder if it was the inconsistency from goff that basically drove a wedge between him and mcvay. just a thought...by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed on both accounts. In terms of olb I think lewis gets first crack at starting opposite floyd but hollins played well enough last year to warrant some consideration as well. Both those guys are athletic freaks too. In contrast I think obo may be the "surprise cut" if garret earns a roster spot.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
With the exception of Chris garrett I'm not sure there is anyone on the roaster with enough talent to beat our long or hollins. In terms of garrett I think both he and hillins make the team.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
i thought it would be obvious that comparing 1 qb to another at any single point in their career is an extremely flawed comparison as there are a host of variables that are unaccounted for. i mean i get the point, experience is important. i dont think anyone would deny that but it does little to advance your argument that goff is better than or equal to stafford.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
But it's not everything because all players don't start with same baseline and not all mature at the same rate. In you're continued comparison of goff and stafford you assume started at the same level and progress at the same rate. Its a faulty assumption. For example, I think its fair to say mahomes is better than just about any 13 year vet. Bottom line is that all rookies don't start at the saby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
i would be completely shocked if long and/or hollins were cut.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
I just dont see it the same way. As Ragnar said...why was your time looking back....by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
I thot that would happen last year but it never did.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Well again maybe you're right. Maybe you're not. Outside of some disgruntled old people posting on a message board there's not alot of hard evidence either way. Just opinions. Another interesting thing might be seeing what fans wear to games this either. People will probably see what they want to see but still may be interesting.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Many people including our former oline coach thought his best position in the pros would be center. The proof is in the pudding I guess but on paper I fail to see how this doesn't fix the center spot.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Good question. First off I'm sure it's available but maybe not publicly. My searches generated periodic stories on the topic but not a consistent source that could be used to track sales over time and bother since the release. Second I would think you would see an immediate rise. However covid may have hindered that. Plus someone pointed out that sakes may regress after an initial excitement.by PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
Well I agree that its not a perfect measure as it's also effected by winning and market size one would still think you would see a rise in sales even if not in the top part of the league. But remember imo at least the whole purpose of the rebrand was to grow the fan base among young fans in a city that hadn't had football in 20 years. With that in mind how would you measure success of the rebrby PHDram - RamsFootballFans.com
