I have seen young men waste some of their best years chasing pipe dreams. Right or wrong is in the eye of the beholder, but being lured into the possibility of the life of a pro athlete has definitely had a negative impact on some lives. I have seen it first hand.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
Many of those players will keep training and hoping to make it in the NFL. This will continue for several years for some of them. In the end, they will have wasted years when they could have gotten a start in a career. This pattern plays out even more in basketball, which has various semi-pro leagues around the world. Lots of young men waste many of the best years of their lives chasing a dream tby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for confirming that you are also missing the channels. The only way this matters is if you want to program the DVR before heading off for a trip. This, of course, is exactly my situation. I do not live in the LA area, and I am aware of the blackout issues when relevant. Thanks again for the inputs!by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, I realize it is usually easy. I had NFL Sunday Ticket for several years and recorded Rams games each weekend.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams opening game is supposed to be on Channel 709 on Sept. 8. I have a request for anyone who has NFL Sunday Ticket. Are you able to go into your DVR and set it to record the first game? I tried this a few days ago, but Channels 708 through 718 seem to be gone, and so it wasn't possible to program the DVR to record those games. I am leaving for an extended trip tomorrow and wasn't able to geby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for the suggestion, but the problem is that the channels in the low 700s, where the NFL games appear, don't show up. I made two calls to DirecTV, but they had no idea what was causing the problem. After wasting an hour on the phone with them, I decided that enough is enough.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for the suggestion. I have done that in past years and might do it again this season.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
I have had NFL Sunday Ticket since 2013. Like most monopolies, the service is terrible. I do lots of traveling, and I would often set the DVR to record Rams games while traveling. They publish a schedule before the season, but, for some unexplained reason, they would move games to different channels. For example, a Rams game might be scheduled for 713. Several weeks later, it would be moved to 71by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
The author of the novel. I would welcome input from lawyers, but I think Georgia would have had a strong case since the 'novel' had close parallels to her situation.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com

I watched some Rams games in earlier seasons, but I didn't become a diehard fan until the 1969 season. The Rams started 11-0, and Roman Gabriel was the MVP. They lost a heartbreaker in the playoffs to the Vikings. What a season it was for the Rams! It was also an interesting era with the Beatles, Vietnam, Woodstock, the space program, etc. On this date 50 years ago, I stood in my front yard in Taby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams already have a good mix of veterans and young players at safety. I hope they don't use a pick on this guy.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
* The media has love affairs with certain coaches, such as Sean Payton. I was glad to see that this article ranked another Sean higher -- and deservedly so. * Andy Reid is too high in the list. He had a tremendous team last year, but much of that was due to taking chances on players that other teams avoided. It will be interesting to see how the Chiefs do now that those players are gone. *by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com

I would say cut him now for disclosing a lack of loyalty to the team, which is something that just can't be tolerated.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
It is somewhat subjective to decide when Warner got back to being an effective QB. In my opinion, it wasn't until 2007, which was five years after his meltdown with the Rams. Here are the number of TD passes that he threw per season during that period... 2002: 3 2003: 1 2004: 6 2005: 11 2006: 6 2007: 27 2008: 30 2009: 26by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
...about other Rams fans. I don't "look at dooms day on the horizon," but I do face reality, and this is something that doesn't seem to be popular among some Rams fans. Back in 2002, I faced the reality that Kurt Warner was toast. It was great to see him resurrect his career years later, but he was indeed toast in 2002. Lots of Rams fans didn't like it when I stated my honest opinion abby L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com

While watching "Hang 'Em High," I immediately recognized the similarity of the theme song to "The Raiders." I don't notice the similarity in this case. Possibly because it's a ballad that isn't very musical.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com

Georgia Frontiere's ex-husband was a musician who composed the theme song for the Clint Eastwood film, "Hang 'Em High," which can be heard here... While watching that movie, I noticed that the theme song is very similar to "The Raiders," an NFL films song. I have the NFL Films music, but I don't know of anywhere to listen to it online.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
...get it right. I said highly plausible, not highly possible. It would come as no surprise for an NFL running back to reach the end of his career after a major knee injury that was followed by several years of carrying a heavy load.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
Playing in the NFL is brutal on the body. Gurley already had a serious injury before entering the NFL. It is highly plausible that his career is coming to and end. It is also within the realm of possibilities that it is near the end and neither the Rams or Gurley have accepted it. Only time will tell. But this is the reality of Not For Long.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
...it would be best to wait to announce until after the Draft. It seems plausible that he could retire. If he does and the Rams want to target a replacement, it would be in the best interest of the team to hold off on revealing it.by L.A.Rams - RamsFootballFans.com
