QuoteRamgator I have been hearing more n more chatter from Sports Radio and NFL people, former and current, that maybe the Combine is starting to show more signs of being less n less relevant. I'm not so sure that it's less n less relevant, but... NIL rules have provided some players a little more leverage. Over the weekend, I caught a segment on NFLR with Ryan "cryin'" Leaf. A lot of things would have to go right for this to happen: A) Players the Rams would have valued more than Burns @ 19 would have to be off the board at that slot; B ) Players the Panthers would want @ 19 would still have to be there; and, C) I'd have to assume that the framework of a new contract would have to be agreed upon with Burns. Lots of moving parts there.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Not listing the narrative behind each pick as this is a subscriber-based article. All picks denote QB performances that failed to come even close to the acquiring team's compensation - save for Brett Favre where it was a bad deal for the Falcons who failed to see the promise in the player. But, without further delay: 10. Carson Palmer to Raiders for a first- and second-round pick (2011)by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
And believe him to be a franchise QB. But man... There's a part of me that says (if I were the Bears) to go to ATL to see if I could get some picks (of course, a minimum of two #1's) to build out the roster with youth and see if Wilson could bridge the team for a year. Then look for a QB that will have the benefit of a stabilized roster.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteBigGame81 <snipped> Is I think he tries to do too much at times. Tries to make the highlight reel play, which he got away with in college, but NFL will be different ball game. I believe that this is a very fair issue to raise about Williams. Unfortunately, though, there's a couple of issues that I noted that make it difficult for me to answer: 1) Due to USC's beyond poby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteCoy Bacon I think we got screwed in only getting a 3rd and a back up TE. I believe a smarter and more efficient org. would have gotten more. Didn't we pay something like two 1sts for him? He played well overall so he was worth more than a 3rd. Exactly. I think that they knew the 2022 season was gonna be his last with the team. QuoteHeadslap75 Gotta agree with ya Speed It's so interesting the world we live in and how people are picking this kid apart on rumor and 1/2 truths. No sooner media puts someone on a pedestal people want to see him fall. I've watched pretty much every game he's played... Sorry, but I gotta stop you right there Headslap. Well, at least interesting to me. ND RB Audric Estime reportedly ran a 4.7 40. That's a surprise to me as he clearly appears to play much faster. Wondering if that might push him into the 3rd round where he'd be great value for us? Also Mizzou RB Cody Schrader ran a 4.68 before pulling a muscle. I didn't think that he'd run very fast and so I hope this plants him somewhere in the 5th roundby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
If the Broncos decide to option his 5th year, then I think that he'd be owed close to $20M for the 2025 season. I like his game, but I'm unsure if the Rams would want to absorb that. If the Broncos don't pick up his option, he's a FA after this season. A new contract might be more manageable, but we couldn't guarantee that that contract would be with us.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote21Dog We (Fresno) have had two transfer LBs from SC the past three years and they've done nothing. Got another this year (DE Korey Foreman) who was one of the top recruits in the country and underachieved at SC. Goes to the point of scheme or coaching at SC. I like Washington more than Rice, despite Washington's lack of size. He plays a lot bigger and really battles for contested balls. Wouldn't mind Lloyd as a change of pace back. QuoteMamaRAMa To me his taking the job as co-defensive coordinator at USC was a "no-brainer" only IF he knew he wasn't going to get the Rams job as DC. I wouldn't necessarily say that. USC is a private institution that is hell-bent on its football team returning to its glory years. Chargers go into halftime leading the Jacksonville Jaguars 27 - 7 on the road during their Wild Card match-up last year. Their defense, led by HC Brandon Staley, summarily collapses in the 2nd half by giving up 24 points enroute to losing the game 31 - 30. Staley's reaction...fire the OC that got you 30 points during a road playoff game.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com

Quoteroman18 or the year before etc.? Did AD bring any of them to the numbers Turner had? Working alongside AD doesn't in any way make you a better player. I'm not saying that playing alongside AD makes you a better player. QuoteRockRam Always gotta remember who is doing the voting and what their criteria is. First, they are lazy. So the real award goes to the 1st round pick who did the best as a rookie. Second, they are populists. They simply pick who they like. Third, they don't follow the game deeply enough to know more than the average fan knows.... and that ain't much. I bought this brand of air fryer from Costco ($39.99) a couple of years ago and it's held up well with moderate use. I believe that Amazon also sells it. One other note...we use disposable liners when we use the air fryer. It doesn't affect the cooking and keeps the unit clean - so no scrubbing which can erode the teflon.by ramBRO - Bucky's Pub

QuoteRamkind It was kind of the same with Allen Robinson. You weren't quite sure what you were gonna get, because of how he was used in the Bears offense. Mooney would be interesting. Kinda like Robert Woods in Buffalo...there's really no way to properly evaluate him in that Chicago offense. But he's got speed to burn and he's significantly bigger than Tutu (meaning he might be better-suited to stay on the field).by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
I seriously doubt Penix lasts that long, though, unless he pops up with a medical (and if he did, I'm not sure we'd want to invest a 2nd rounder on him). Do you think Van Pran could start by mid-season? Am no expert by any means, but in watching his highlights, I don't see him really moving anybody in the run game. Seems pretty athletic, though. And no one seemed to get by him in pass pro.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam The problem won't be with Quinn. The problem will be with a corporate/committee ownership that will inevitably be run by bean counters. Anytime you have such a structure, it has nothing to do with the love of the game it has to do with an investment, ROI, and operating profits. I'll bet Quinn will be handed a somewhat lower end budget for assistants. And, it will also affect howby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
New ownership and (hopefully), less-toxic culture in DC. He's got a couple of studs on the DL to anchor his defense; a good OC; and, the ability to draft a franchise QB (or stockpile draft capital).
