Just to change the story from AD , the LA Rams offensive line shaping up as: LT A.Jackson....6-7, 335 lbs LG J.Jackson...6-4, 311 lbs C S.Vila............6-3, 332 lbs RG K.Dotson....6-4, 321 lbs RT R Hav..........6-8, 330 lbs That's some heft..... I don't think the Rams have ever had such an Oline size that I can remember. And I love it!!! Hopefully they play up to it!!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I do wonder about this process though. For instance were the roster and option bonus made guaranteed at some point before the start of this league year. In which case AD definitely help the Rams out. But when you here the words roster and option bonus it makes feel their for being part of the team this year......so it wouldn't seem right to collect them knowing your going to then retire...by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for the breakdown. So to be clear the $13m he's getting is ghis new money or what was already due on the cap from his original signing bonus?by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I was just saying that in another thread, to be there to see his last game! I never got to see him live at all, bummer of living in Australia and Scotland!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I hear you thinking and being honest, I felt kind of low last night on hearing the news! (Which itself is an interesting question for me..... as in I love my Rams..... but funny how it can affect my life in such away!!). The optics are made by the media and as above by our own feeling /experiences. It's been reported many times he only wanted to play 8-10 years and when this latest deal wby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com

The restructure of salary into bonus is weird....by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Kind of makes sense now... McVay invested big in OL as the O is what will drive this team next year. Adding a S that can help organise the back end and upgrade the play there is bigger now with an AD up front. I think this has been the plan knowing AD is hanging it up.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
This is my big question.. Isn't it better to leave salary which won't be paid if retiring that converting to bonus money which will be!! Very very strange....by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Why would Rams want to convert part of a players game season pay to a signing bonus if they were going to retire and nit get paid their game cheques? Wouldn't the Rams want to minimise sign bonus payments for a retiring player. Ghis restructure has me really confused?by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Will be a very pleased bunch tonight.....by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm intrigued to know how much ghe Rams actually will have paid for Donald's last 2 years?by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
It content!!! I mean, what kick to the shins. I switch on to read about a restructure and all but assuring Donald back..... Only to see next thread saying he's retiring! Gut blow, for sure......what a pooo.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Just posted that in a different thread. Wonder if this is also why they tagged Hoect so as to at least have him in place as they might now go after a DT.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Looking really viable for pick at no. 19.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Does this restructure help the Rams in anyway with Donald now retiring? Or have they given him a parting gift!!!!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
So was the restructure to just lower his cap hit this year and help spread it over this and next?? Really bit strangeby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
That sounds a lot better than how it looked on Overthecap. Because the 2025 deadcap cost is saying $38,526,667. Hey AlbaNY, if youve got a minute, would you be able detangle!! Is it to do with the roster options for the difference? Cheers.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
two-year deal worth up to $16.5 million. Per nfl.com Would have liked that for the Rams....by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
If you had said you can have Dotson or J Jackson.... I'd have said Dotson please. The fact he comes slightly cheaper, shows it was a good deal for the Rams. And Dotson, got certainly, almost all of what he might have got, but just as important, he got to stay where he likes playing (football and free time!).by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Why the hell wouldn't you play the teams games and do even simple testing, show no ego and look like you are going to care!!! No,No, No, why would I do that... Someone says I'll give you $10m if play this game. But only $2m if you play yours!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Voiding his contract, be interesting to see what he's signed for!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I can totally go with that line. However it depends which Snead draft version we get... if last year's I can see you line. But if previous years, I think they'd go WR Thomas, then surprise us with an out of the box Edge then CB pick!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
So if the draft were today and at pick 19 these guys were available, where do the Rams go... Edge Latu CB Arnold T Fashanu (which I cant really see as possible, but it's been floated) WR Thomas Like, all of these would be great potentially. My least favourite is the T as I think our RFA on his current trajectory is good enough. But I'd have a hard time of arguing for any of the othby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm thinking they must have lost out on an edge or two that they had hoped for.... Uche, Mack being cut etc and maybe all the equivalent level replacements are getting RFA tag kind of money i.e $3M. 'the better you know' type deal with Michael Hoecht and if they feel he has position flexibility still to flip between Edge and DE.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
and not going to get any extras for the 2025 draft.by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Going to be honest........ I wanted a Mack, even for 1 or 2 years. I remember getting all giddy the first time I heard about the Rams trying for him before being traded to the Bears. Donald and Mack would have been a pretty special pairing, Oh Well, whos next?by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams signed Mack and Fuller for vet mins And drafted, Q Mitchel!!by OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with betting on a rookie edge.... although Latu does look quite polished already. I would do a backflip if we signed Mack, less so on the Eagles two. But its cap issues, how to sign another biggish contract without restructuring someone else and kicking the cap problem down the road abit. A Fuller dign too would ridiculous....... ly good, but also a big cap issue. Would love boby OzRam - RamsFootballFans.com
