And to the Pats too, ugg yuck and dang itby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
Moving up and grabbing the RB we wanted might have been perfect timing after watching a couple of RBs get drafted right after. Also we did not really give up two 3rds like people keep saying, we traded two for 1 so we basically gave up one 3rd.by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com

What if we get him in the third? Man so much potential value in this round its amazing!!by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
How much would he be worth for another year? Does he take an old man pay cut? I say if we win the SB he retires for sure, if we don't get close, he reties for sure, if we get close again but lose again, that is when it becomes a hard deicsion.by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
He played 20 years, and into his 40s didn't he?by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
We have two different offenses. one with a healthy Gurley and one without. I would be thrilled to have the first, don't think we are getting as far with the latter. Then again, knowing what we have, using Brown more, this might alleviate the risk, I think the risk of losing Goff and/or Gurley is a big part of this off season's strategy. We saw the effect of losing Kupp, and so I thby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
AD is small, London fletcher was small, Russell Wilson is small, Alex Mack is small. There are a ton of good OL that were small (300 pounds) over the years. This dismissal of Allen because he is only 300 pounds seems silly to me.by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
We seem to have won the gambles with one year deals, hoping we win the long term dealsby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
So we have been overpaying on one-year deals for guys that we want to take a look at or fill a hole etc. In the case of Joyner it was a tag, but with Suh and now with Fowler, we are paying a premium to protect against not overpaying long term. With Joyner and Suh it appears to have saved us, but Fowler will be an interesting case. What if he breaks out and costs even more after this year?by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
So why nothing about CJ Anderson? Rams talked about wanting him back and he obviously loved being part of the team. I am wondering if him talking about Gurley's knee to the press ended up putting him at odds with the powers that be. Perhaps he has burned a bridge and ruined any chance of playing with the Rams ever again?by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
If Gurley goes down (please be ok big guy) would we sign him off the couch again? Would he be happy to join again in that case or is that bridge burned now?by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
But not all marbles are equal. That is the point.by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
Adding the two groups together you have 160 samples. in this case 3 of 160 made it with top 5 paid QBs. That is 1.9% in the second group 17 make it without top 5 paid QBs That is 10.6% That is actually a huge difference. Now those numbers are also skewed a bit since the first group makes up a smaller sampling of the whole. However, this is precisely why the first set of numberby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
Signing Weddle and Clay seems to be inspired by the deceptive Pats defense. Weddle is great at tricking QBs and deceiving defense, Clay is also very switchable to different roles. The switching of positions by the Pats in the SB was a huge deal and a big reason we got shut down. As McVay had a front row seat to that brilliant play and undoubtedly watched the film over and over, I am sure he wby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
It is interesting to look at how competitive teams are after they pay their QBs big time money. Ravens post Flacco contract have been mediocre at best. That, of course, is an outlier, but his contract is looking pretty standard now. Brady is saving the Pats a ton on salary and this is what allows the Pats to compete for and usually win championships every year. With the AD contractby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
Did we not sign a FA who came to the facility and met with a bunch of coaches and the head coach twice? What am I missing? Does Weddle not count because he was released?by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
Up to $44 mil for 4 years means less than that base and does not say how much is guaranteed, but $11 mil a year seems doableby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow, he basically is saying he called some plays that Goff did not do right. So we need to develop our QB a lot better. Seems the adjustments to the defense were there, but Goff could not adjust.by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
I remember when Tyreke Hill was killing us and so they put Shields on him saying Sam was the only one fast enough to deal with Hill. Sam got burned bad. Guessing we look for speedy CBs to add to our core to keep up with the likes of Hill.by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
We should have never let that guy go to the Steelersby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
on the NFL channel they are playing the Rams Chiefs MNF burner game. it is fun watching it without the stress. Cooks just had position and Goff placed the ball in his hands perfectly, the Chiefs DB came from behind and hit his arm and Cooks drops the ball just steps from the TD. I think this is what we mean for those of who say he is good but not that #1 we want. He is missing the figby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
yeah, obviously he is a great and smart guy and coach. I am not too worried about the bashing, it will motivate him and maybe we should extend him now while his price isn't through the roof haha. But yeah, I would not trade him for anyone. Also, we have no idea what he did or did not prepare for. We do not why he did or did not play those strategies. We do not know why or why not Gurleyby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
Perhaps all his wrinkles were against a man defense assuming NE had always been in man. It is possible that the new plays were determined by McVay to not work against zone so he scrapped them. Perhaps the wrinkles relied on establishing the run and play action first and that never happened. Perhaps the wrinkles needed Goff to have more than 2 seconds to throw. Perhaps Gurley was a key fby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought Cooks should have caught at least one of those TDs. When you think of #1 receivers out there, they make those types of catches. Heck OBJ started a one-handed highlight craze that many #1 WRs followed. and we have cooks bouncing the ball off his chest in the endzone. #1 WRs make those impossible catches.by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
When my Rams left for St Louis in 1995 I remember getting all my Rams news online. I used to regularly read the Post Dispatch online, and found this board sometime soon after. Hadn't really thought about it, but I guess it has been at least 20 years, but maybe as many as 24. Lots of ups and downs for sure.by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
What are you doing with Suh in this scenario?by headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay is growing and learning. Last year we lost in the first round to the Falcons. I think McVay learned a lot with that experience. This year he mixed it up big time to get past that first round against Dallas and it was great to see. Maybe next year he will be ready for the first round and the championship game. Then maybe the year after that he will be ready for the SuperBowl. Yby headslapper - RamsFootballFans.com
Watching the game again, without Edelman I do not see the Pats scoring. Also, watching Edelman makes me think who could be doing what he does for us, and the answer clearly was Kupp. Different skills sets on our WR corp, but that great route running, smart, over the middle, sure-handed catcher for us is Kupp. If Edelman is out and Kupp us in maybe it is 13-3 us instead of them.
