Agree. Hekker is already hands down the best punter in franchise history. Zuerlein trails only Wilkins and Lansford in FGs made and he'll pass Lansford early this year. They will be the only 3 Rams kickers with 150+ FG and 200+ XP. Zuerlein is their franchise leader in FG% at 82.9% (ahead of Josh Brown and Wilkins who are also 80%+).by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

I believe 100% that Pleasant will be a DC. I have no idea how many years Phillips wants to coach but it would sure be great to have Pleasant be his successor down the line. But if he manages the DB group well in 2018 I would not be surprised at all to see a team snatch him up as their DC for 2019. I'd love to see Pleasant coaching the Rams D for a long time.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
They have a lot of young, talented players at LB but very few- if any- you would consider right now to be every-down players. And to me that's OK. Play guys situationally to their strengths. As the article points out, it could be Littleton with the biggest weight on his shoulders. Can he captain the defense and make all the calls? Will it be Wilson in the end? I am not a believer in Hager, peby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com

I like Brown more than most. I think he steadily improved throughout last season and was solid at RG. I would not mind giving him a modest 2-3 year extension.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Brockers, Whitworth, Sullivan, Donald, Woods, Talib, Saffold, Goff, Barron, Joyner.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Good role player. Fox played 334 snaps last year. Not counting the season finale vs SF where he played 53 snaps he averaged 19 per game last year. Probably was in line for more this year. Hope he is back 100% for 2019. Best wishes Morgan.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I am a big Robey-Coleman fan as their CB3, a de facto starting job. And Shields and Hill give them outstanding CB depth.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
The pace of practice is pretty impressive. Clearly guys have to be in really good shape by now.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
For this year, should the Rams have a top 3-4 defense, I agree that's a big factor that could take them a long way. And for several reasons I actually doubt the Rams put up as many points as they did in 2017. Maybe I'm wrong. After 1999 I didn't think the Rams offense could be better and in 2000 it was. But longer term I absolutely buy into 'As Goff goes so go the Rams.' Whether it's New Englaby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
If he can stay healthy he can be such a nice addition as a role player. Better keep him off coverage teams.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, my point is just that with 45% of TA's catches at or behind the LOS that is- I believe- a lot higher than any of those other players mentioned. And it also begs the question what was his catch percentage on the other 55% of throws. Probably really bad. And that again is the frustrating thing because you do see in the highlights that he could make those plays.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
As the Rams approached #45 overall in the 2012 Draft I thought "take Bobby Wagner, Lavonte David, or Mychal Kendricks. None will disappoint." And they haven't. And we didn't get any.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn From 2014-16, he caught 59.5% of his 227 targets, which while not great is the same as players like Pierre Garcon, Julio Jones, Jimmy Graham etc. and better than players like AJ Green, Ty Hilton, Amari Cooper, etc. But how many of Austin's catches were basically screens? A lot more than any of these guys. His catch % should have been 65%+ based on what they did with him.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, if he had surgery last week he should be at least limited in practice by August 10-15 latest.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
If you read about torn labrums for NFL players it is about 6-8 months before full recovery. So he will be on track for August/September. I think Reynolds sees more action as their WR4 next year. Maybe doubles his receptions from 11 to 22ish. Deep threat and red zone guy.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
...because it does show his clear talent. He was not a bust by any means but rather such an inconsistent player. For every highlight reel punt return he had 6 or 7 where he went nowhere (by choice) vs getting them 7-10 yards of field position. I remember some of those downfield catches too and always wondered why he did not do that with any consistency. Was it that he could grasp more of theby LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Lets say he had the surgery last week. Call it the 17th. 12 weeks from there is August 9. 14 weeks is August 23. So you would probably guess he misses the first two preseason games. Maybe the 3rd depending on how much full go work he gets by then. A setback but he should still be able to do enough to catch up and contribute. But in the interim guys like Young and Lawler get more work.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Good point. Lawler too? Will he stand up?by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Will put him behind but he should be back in there by mid-camp. May mean his playing time grows as the season goes in vs right away.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Sounds like he will be given every chance to earn good playing time at OLB.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Totally forgot Irv Eatman was a Ram in 1993. He was a good OT. That 1993 team was so weird. I thought they had a chance to be pretty good. Zendejas shanking kicks. Robert Young goes down after getting 7 sacks in his first 4 games. Everett imploded. 5 losses of 23+ points.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
One of the only LTs in the league that could handle Lawrence Taylor. Always the odd man out in Pro Bowl selections.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, and younger players may get bigger roles as the season progresses. Ebukam, for example, averaged about 11 snaps per game the first half of last year and 29 per game after their bye week.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it is very likely they play 8 LBs in their regular rotation with Barron the only one getting above 600 snaps. Inside, Barron, Wilson, Littleton and Kiser should all have roles. Same with the outside guys.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
No one matched what ED did as a RB during his first 7 NFL seasons. First in yards and yards per game, tied with Brown for 5th in rushing TDs: Jackson is one of just 20 RBs to get 10000+ yards in his first 9 years which is excellent, but as far as him vs Dickerson and Faulk he is not above them. Again in all fairness he played on some truly awful teams so grade him on a bit of a curve.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
Especially 1984-86 when their passing game was basically nonexistent. Many games in 1984 and 1985 where by design they only threw maybe 17-19 times in a game. He was their main focus in 1983 as a rookie but at least Ferragamo was a legit threat throwing the ball.by LMU93 - RamsFootballFans.com
