I had no idea Mahomes was a college QB, then KC traded up to get him and I thought it was weird. I never heard of the guy and I follow college football close enough. The kid is special. I hope he wins his 3rd Super Bowl this Sunday.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
It’d be cool to have RB1 and RB2 from St. Louis.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think you’re right but I think McVay has the right sense of this. Teams dream of having a championship window—multiple Super Bowl appearances within a 5 year span. Game manager types aren’t going to get you through that. Look at the Ravens with Dilfer. The Giants won two with Phil Sims so maybe it is possible. But the Niners moved on from Garapolo and now we’ll see how they do withby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
We know McVay trends towards impatience—don’t we all. But at times he looked like he was chomping at the bit on the sidelines during some of those long drives against his D. I think with Shula he’ll have more game management input than he did with Raheem. I think he let Morris do his thing. So, we might see more pressures from the D. But the advantage is the long time these guys have had onby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

The Niners squeaked by two average teams that were burdened by youth and not being on the big stage enough. The Chiefs controlled games against the NFL’s two hottest teams. Got to play the game, but I like the Chiefs to win out.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Young is a bad free agent contract in the making. He’s ridden Nick Bosa’s coattails (even coming out of the draft) but he’s no Nick Bosa.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
Campbell did the same thing Shanahan did when he was OC for the Falcons blowing a 28-3 lead with 8 minutes int eh 4th quarter. Or even Pete Carroll not running Marshawn on the 1 yard line. Shanahan wanted to rub it in and slaughter Belichick by 6 TDs. So he kept dropping Matt Ryan back (to get sacked and stripped) instead of running the ball (which was successful) and being content to win 28-3by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
Brady, in his early years, was ushered along by the team. Mahomes has put the Chiefs’ on his back since he started. He’s special…I know, duh!by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
I think they’re going to do it unless fate keeps allowing the ball to bounce the Niners’ way.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I noticed that, BR. These guys are making millions to play a game. Make difficult plays and be renowned for decades but he’s over there chuckling away.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
I like tough teams and I wish McVay’s teams were tough (he’s getting there, but he’s leaving behind a soft team reputation). Back to the point. At some point the payoff of putting your team in a position where they have to assert their dominance fails in the face of chance. There are things no one has control of: phantom offside’s call on Tom Mack against the Vikings near the goal line as aby Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
He kicks the first one and 49ers maybe never get momentum. He would’ve answered a field goal with a field goal.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay gets 3 points on each of these possessions. Points are an endangered species in the playoffs, Coach Campbell.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com

As a 49er hater, I just hope Jared doesn’t toss easy interceptions “trying” to throw out of bounds next Sunday, because I’ve seen that garbage.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
The main reason I liked the trade is because Jared had a mental block when he played against his childhood favorite team: the 49ers. How do you lose games to a sub 500 team that starts CJ Beathard in one game and Nick Mullens in another? Those performances were Goffful and the Niners had a ton of injuries in those games. That works perfectly. Can mods add this to the emoji treasury?by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
If Niners can run the ball. McCaffrey looked like he has a nagging injury. Deebo left the game. Lions play aggressive. Should be fun.by Ekern55 - RamsFootballFans.com
