The physicality issue I will disagree with to a point. Nobody is more physical than Aaron Donald but I swear, I haven't seen an offensive line as dominant as the Eagles since Doug Smith was our center. The tackling issue was one of guys preferring the knockout blow to form tackling. The 9'ers and Eagles are the two most physical teams in the sport. The Rams aren't built that way but are in the seby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
Just imagining if the Rams win and both Kupp and Nacua have over 100 yards. The knee jerk media will vault the Rams to top 10 with a bullet. Feels like '99 to me. And I don't care what PFF says, this offensive line is more talented than the stats and have come together rapidly.by Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not sure what everyone else is seeing (including PFF) but every time I watch Jackson, he seems to be very efficient and surprisingly boring because he does his job so damned well. He is absolutely the most under appreciated player on this roster. If only I could believe in his health (I do not). Seriously, when healthy...I think he's a poor man's Tyrone Smith of the Cowboys. Unfortunately, whby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
And somehow I really don't care this time around. I'm not sure I've ever expected less and got more enjoyment from any team better than this one. Well...that '99 season was pretty damned magical. But I was still stressed right up to "The Tackle". Our most recent Chip was stressful from beginning to the bitter end. This year is just fun. I was going to post something similar but from a different perspective. ED, GB, and CW all benefited from one of the greatest OLines of all time. I believe I could've gained 1,000 yards behind them. Don't look now, but we have the makings of a dominant OLine that Williams, Rivers, or Puka could gain a grand behind. That's right, I said it. Puka can be a menace in the backfield aka Deebo. I started with Roman Gabriel, moved to Merlin Olsen, Jack Youngblood, Jackie Slater, Leroy Irvin, ED, Bettis, Kurt, Marshall, SJax, AD, Kupp, and now... Puka Nacua is pure joy. I just love the kid's unbridled love and enjoyment of the game. Dude makes me smile just looking at that ever present smile. Takes a huge lick and calmly heads to the huddle. Drops a pass, calmly heads to the huddle. Laby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
Way too early but I wonder if Donald and/or Stafford being made available could help get our future QB a couple years from now. Not suggesting trade this yearby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com

Does anyone else remember our inability to run effectively against the same team in the Super Bowl? Several plays did what is proposed here, kept them honest. But the only way we won was by passing. On the flip side, Andrew Whitworth and Cooper Kupp weren't on the field. I'm giving the Rams a passby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com

Not to be contrary, but the Hawks lost both their starting OT's in the first half when they were up. Playing the second half without them was the real difference. Perform like this v the 9'ers and I will be more impressed. With that said, it was a great win.by Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
The Cowboys hype back then was as strong as it is now so the win and how dominant ED was in that game was as satisfying as any game I watched from the late 60's til then. But without a chip, it wasn't until Mike Jones' "The Tackle" that moment was topped by relief. I loved having a great OLine and a brutal running game. QuoteShecky So you are implying that Tutu can't block because of his size? Of course, he's not a lead blocker up the middle. On the perimeter, though, you may be surprised. Simply, no, there is no surprise. He's a liability in the run game unless he's the one running. As for their roles, I see Puka as the guy who can spell Kupp and Jefferson if necessary. I think long term Rams fans really appreciate the rare opportunity we experienced winning the Super Bowl. Last year was a long anti-climax and frankly, there's little intrigue or reason to look for anything more than which rookies will develop into core players we might keep longer than three or four years. Is there really much to get impassioned about yet? Can we get excited about regurgitated cby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
What made Ramsey so effective in this system was his ability to cover, tackle, and diagnose plays early enough to effect the outcome. His range of ability to handle both larger targets and quick smaller receivers gave Morris flexibility in the scheme. It's my belief that most systems succeed less from schematic pressure than they do from having players who can win their matchups. The Ravens and Sby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com

What I got from that is the O Coordinator and WR coach suck. Several times Kurt said "I don't know what they are trying to do here" and "I wish the back would widen his route" to make the concept work. Kurt is always hard on QB's and pulls no punches w Jared, but my take is that he should remember when his teams didn't have the team around him (Giants, Cards first two yearsby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
Ummm....what? Did anyone else actually read not only this article, but the link to what Martz said? He calls McVay's background vastly different from Shanny's. Is he senile? I'm serious. He said someone like LaFluer could've helped McVay know what to do with a five man front in the lost Super Bowl v the Pats 4 1/2 years ago when Zac Taylor was the QB coach. I guess the implication is that the youby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com
My understanding is that the offense is decided by McVay, but is absolutely a collaboration that requires the entire staff to contribute in various ways. Kromer was a great example. His Oline in Buffalo produced a top running game using mostly power schemes and then he came to the Rams. That doesn't mean he was exclusively a coach that understood duo, trap, and pulling schemes and not zone. Coachby Leoram - RamsFootballFans.com

I've always maintained that the most impressive part of his career was how he handled his time in NY and AZ when he was considered by MOST, washed.
