OK. But if practice matters, what about the several days before they are re-adapted? - Today
I can't disagree that by game day their body clocks will be largely or fully re-adapted. But I've made overseas trips as much as 9 hours time difference, and flight time (non-stop) of 14 hours, and it takes at least 5 days to get reasonably adapted at that time difference. The Rams will sign Puka and Turner and Dotson. They will let Avilla and Young walk. Puka is a top 5 WR and young. Turner is a great leader and a top interior DL pass rusher that can play anywhere along the line. Dotson is simply better and more of a leader than Avilla. Teams have yet to know who exactly they are. What exactly are they good at. It changes year to year. And, with vets playing little or not at all during the preseason, the opener is closer to a preseason game 4 where the 1st team plays instead of back-ups. That's my only trepidation. I have no idea if she is telling the truth. But, neither does anyone else. There never seem to be any witnesses, just rather standard allegations in which the word's chosen can have levels of meaning. What is a joke for you, may be emotional abuse to someone else. I'd have to say that in a sense, yes. Cincy could score. They just couldn't stop the other team from scoring, too. The Seahawks have a good O. But it was their D that stood out. Against Seattle, the Rams could score. But they couldn't stop Seattle from scoring more. The Rams achilles heel in 2025 was the Secondary and to a lesser extent STs. Rams are soon to be faced with resigning Avilla, and that might prove quite expensive. If Murray is actually as good as he appears to be, he might become Avilla's replacement at a far lower cost. I heard this discussed today on NFL Sirius XM and I find it atrocious. Here's the way it works: if a player is accused of something by the law.... and there is to be a trial.... the Commisioner can order the player excempted. Player cannot be part of the team in any way.... not even to work out. That low number was to be expected because 1) The Rams used so few draft picks 2) they had such a strong roster that it was going to be hard to break through for a rookie. Simpson was always a lock. So was Klare. Then you have Trost. And finally CJ Daniels who the Rams really put some work into evaluating. The Rams also have a league leading dominant Offense that can do everything well. As multiple as the D will be, so is the O. Run, pass short, intermediate, long, TE dominant or WR dominant, they have it all. I think you have to go back to the Brady/Bellicheck times to have such a combo. Without question, the Rams will have a dominant pass rush that will be near impossible to stop. Perhaps a generationally best. The answer is to run the ball with power. Then to supplement it with behind the LOS screens (which are basically just long-handoff running plays). Typically (but not 100%), when personal conduct involves a legal case, the NFL waits until there has been a legal resolution. Just as typically, but not 100%, the NFL hands down suspensions for the season opener no later than 10-14 days before, if the issued occured during the off season. He's one of those Steady Eddy guys. He just doesn't miss PATs or from 40 in. And yet, he has the leg to do 60. He can kick off out of the End Zone, and is getting better at dropping it in the Landing Zone and placing it. I suspect the Rams will keep him around quite a long time. In fact, I doubt it.... that would be rare for McVay to trust a rookie over a vet. 2) I don't think they traded for Atwell to cut him. 3) I think there might be a surprise shake up at WR and a cut that might surprise somebody. Sure, in a very cut down playbook Ty is looking good (as a means of developing him). But the idea that he is ready to take over in a real NFL game and run even half the playbook is highly unlikely. He is still learning Rams fundamentals. Bennett is not as talented, for sure. But, he can make things happen with his legs. He has moxie. I do think he makes the 53. But, he wasn't playing against the one's (although I wonder if he played any snaps on the 1st team in scrimmages?) He's young. He has good potential.
