I read this Athletic article this morning. IMO, Stafford belongs in the "It's Complicated" category which was defined as: Special circumstances make these situations less straightforward, creating a wide range of potential outcomes. Though he can still be productive, Stafford is no where near the QB that started [or ended) the 2021 season for the Rams. Instead, we're now mostly seby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
From the article: QuoteESPN asked college coaches and veteran scouts about the Michigan quarterback. While the coach called McCarthy a very good college quarterback, One veteran scout said, “I’d be scared to take him in the first round right now and turn a franchise over to him. I've only been watching Lincoln Riley-coached teams since he came to USC two seasons ago. I believe the two have ALOT of similarities as HC's and are facing the exact same challenges. It'll be interesting to see if either can adapt.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com

And I don't think it's close. Yes, we opened the game with a turnover and fell behind 13 - 0 after the 1st quarter. But that doesn't mean we weren't playing (or that we weren't playing well). Playing in that type of environment with so much at stake definitely posed a challenge at the outset. But after that, the defense went on to only allow 10 points for the rest of the game against a soby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotealyoshamucci <snipped> Second, our offense is better without Cooper Kupp on the field. This has got to be a failure by the coaching staff along with predetermining on Stafford's part. Last season, McStafford was unable to integrate Allen Robinby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Of the players mentioned, I count only Dotson who MUST be re-signed. Not only because of his solid play, but because of the draft capital we expended to get him in the first place. After that, I could see re-signing Hoecht as a good back-up D-lineman and ST's player.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield I thought last season was the hamstring. From what I heard on the broadcast today it is the ankle. I believe that he suffered the ankle injury last season which required surgery and ended his season. This year, he suffered the hammy in Week 2 of training camp. He then tweaked the hammy again just prior to Week 1 of the regular season and to go on short-term IR (4 games misby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteGRAM Torino There's a strong pattern there at this top that stubbornly refuses to evolve and seems to be getting worse each year. Funny. When we traded Goff, one of the reasons why I was in favor of it was because I didn't (and still don't) believe he was evolving as a player. Turns out he wasn't the only one in the organization that hasn't evolved. Whether it play-calling; in-gameby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com

1) Caleb Williams has repeatedly shown an unwillingness to sit in the pocket and get obliterated by 300-lb D-linemen who run past his non pass-protecting OL at USC. Compounding this "problem," he: frequently evades the rush; keeps his head up and scans for open receivers; and, accurately completes passes to them for TD's. This, without a doubt, qualifies him as nothing more than a &quby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
1) The OL should get Havs back at RT. 2) I'm betting that no one appreciated the bye week more than Avila who hadn't been as active (to my eye) in the previous couple of games. I think that he'd hit the "rookie wall" and needed to catch his wind. Looking for a strong rush attack this week. 3) I'd say the same thing for Puka who's been dragging as well. Quoteden-the-coach Remember when comparing both Goff & Wentz the only true check mark that Goff had over him besides age was durability. QuoteRAMbler Sounds a lot to me like a young Russell Wilson. A skilled scrambler who only ran when he couldn't find someone down field. Down 10 - 6 with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter and his team with the ball, Belicheat pulls Matt Jones for the backup QB Zappe (who, of course, throws a pick to end the game). Yes, Jones had screwed up...but damn! League needs to take a look at this.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotealyoshamucci <snipped> If you're the Cards, are you done with Kyler Murray? The salary implications are destructive, so what kind of situation are you bringing a rookie into? Although I'd be disappointed at not having a shot at the two highest-rated QB's, I wouldn't necessarily hate it either if the 1st three rounds played out like this. A couple of things: 1) With holes all over the place, it'd be hard to be mad at selecting an OT. DK Metcalf is Jamar Chase-lite and I think McVay passed up on drafting him, right? It's kinda like the RB position. Unless he inherits a Todd Gurley, McVay's preference seems to be the 5'09", 190-lb types. As for WR, it's pretty clear that McVay values two primary clones along with one WR who can take the top off.
