I enjoyed it very much. At the same time I agree with others here who say it's no "Band Of Brothers". It's not, IMHO. I could criticize but won't.... they did well in this series. They told the story, and a story well worth telling. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I won't deceive you! Elijah had never run the 200 so he didn't have an 'official time' recorded - which is how they decide which heat they run in. Some of the other kids in this race did have an official time, (but slower than any kids in the other heats), and some did not. IOW, Elijah did not run in the heat with the fastest 'recorded time' kids. Never the less.... This caught us by surprby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Grandson sent me the text. I was looking forward to today... golf with my grandsons. Good lunch, golf, sunshine... twas to be a glorious day. My day is not off to a good start. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I couldn't get even one of my 6 grandson's to consider the military. Congrats. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
On Facebook. Seems we have 17 mutual friends. Ehhhh, maybe if he becomes a Ram. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Yes, as I said... I think he won't be able to more than a few rounds. But being fit DOES matter, he's strong. He's more than capable to knocking Paul out... as long as the opportunity comes early.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I'm just now really considering this fight so don't expect any insight here. I've known about it for a while but ehhh, had very little interest. Still don't, actually, but more than originally. I don't know Jake Paul from Adam. I know Tyson is an old man.... BUT... seen him? The guy is looking good. Very fit. So my 'gut' says... easy win for Tyson, no matter how young Paul is. Another favorite of mine was one that I believe got the worst ratings.... "Over The Hedge". Toy Story is brilliant. Monsters Inc is brilliant. Little Mermaid had the best music IMHO. Ah hell, like I said, I love them all.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Lion King - Ice Age - Toy Story - Moana - Brave - Cars - so far! Pretty sure I'm not done yet.... and for good reason - Love these movies. For a while I can forget, or at least put aside, that the world is going to hell. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
are the unlimited's, P-51's - Corsairs - etc, at the air races. Not at all loud... but a low 'thump' so powerful that when they fly by you your bones separate. T6's are great as well.... only plane where the prop tips exceed the speed of sound. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Rode by the VLA once. Now there's a sight that will awe even the most apathetic. Was your grandson always interested in Astrophysics or is that an interest he acquired after starting college? - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I think they're the best company I've ever dealt with. Many times I've had them tell me that a product I was looking at was more than I needed and guided me to a cheaper product. And ya gotta love a company that shuts down - 'online' - for Holidays. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
You're right - shoddy refurbishing companies are rampant on the web. But the top companies... my favorite is B & H Photo, do great work. Apple is excellent BUT... they charge so much for a refurbished computer you might as well buy a new one. I've had good luck with NewEgg but that was with peripherals. I've never bought a used computer from them. I had good luck with BestBuy... got a coby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Refurbished? Most sites offer refurbished laptops. BestBuy, Newegg, etc. I did a quick search on Newegg and saw a Lenovo with 8gb Ram, (I think you meant RAM???)... for $389.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Remember Guido? Our English Springer? Well he's ONE today... we're having a B'Day party for him this evening. He had ice cream for lunch. Dog ice cream? Not sure what it is, actually... my daughter found them and Guido loves 'em. Not a big deal for Guido, other than the treats. Guido considers every day his day.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I even had a small sluice box. Still do somewhere. :laughing My best day was $100 of gold.... which isn't even minimum wage BUT... beautiful country, fresh air, couple three iced beers, I was content. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Once on my hand. They used a local - which means they just shut off the blood until your arm/hand go completely numb. So I'm laying there with my arm completely numb and it's miserable... but nothing I can't handle. About a half hour into the surgery I casually said, "This is miserable. Are you about done?".... and a nurse leaped to her feet, came to my side, pulled out whateverby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
But one of them, for me, is exactly as you described. I can understand getting addicted to them. I forget the name of them. BUT... for the most part I don't like the way pain meds make me feel. Not that I've had many. I detest Vicodin (sp?). I'd rather just have the pain. Also Tylenol and Codeine? Again, hate them.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I love that area but haven't spent much time there. I did a little gold panning in that area... which was disappointing. :laughing Living there I'm sure you know this - you can pan and find gold nearly every time you swish the pan BUT.. it's placer gold. So it looks like a LOT in the pan but after you add it to a vial it's actually barely enough to be visible in the vial. :laughing Sorry,by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

I've never seen better maintained aprons around the greens. Greens were just poked and sanded so didn't get a good read on those BUT.... I could tell that when ready they'd be very interesting. And yeah... I was impressed with the clubhouse. We got Subway on the way but I wish I would have ate there.... lot of people eating there. Lot of walkers... you must be a healthy lot over thereby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I think you have to have some ability, even if it's just a little, to allow yourself to go back to that era and experience it from that point of view. When I watch old time movies that have special effects, for example, I like to imagine what it was like for the audience seeing it for the first time. It had to be amazing for them. Movies like King Kong probably brought out far more of an 'amby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
At least I don't think the course has any windmills. I've never played the course in Tulare. I was surprised that they said the course isn't too wet. We're having a rainy year. Yesterday the UPS truck pulled off to the side of the road in front of my house. She buried the truck to the axles. Had to call a tow truck to get her out. This is common here where I live. I started thinking... just WHICH astrophysicists do I like the most. Well... I have no hard answer for that... but I mentioned Brian Cox. He may be my favorite. Plus he is English... which leads me to this: The English's ARE... it's indisputable, the smartest people that ever existed on earth. There are a LOT of equally smart people.... from everywhere. I missed Star Trek... when it came out. I was in college and partying. Then I went into the Army. So somewhere in the 70's it came out in syndication.... I began watching. Skip ahead - made a friend who was a Star Trek Fanatic. AND... the movie was about to come out. He asked me to go... only time in my life that I got to the theater in the middle of the night and waited in line to bby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I have to because your post brought this to mind. My niece, whom I posted about some time back... just completed her Chemo and then a round of Radiation. Breast Cancer. She's getting her hair back! Nearly an inch long now and she looks fantastic! Always did, actually, even after losing all her hair in Chemo. The lady is a lion... strongest person I have ever known. There have been a few video games I played. I played one of the first, actually... text adventure game called "Cranston Manor". I remember playing "Kings Quest"... then "Myst".... I like the adventure games but they are few these days... supplanted by the "shoot 'em up" games... which I don't like at all and that's odd because I'm an avid target shooter wby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I just discovered, this very evening, that I'm a "baby boomer". "How is that possible, JamesJM?" you're asking yourself. I don't know. I do not know who Gen Z are. Or Millennials. Or Gen...whatever letter. I know they are age groups - not a chance in hell I can tell you which age groups. I know that millennials are younger than me.. possibly teens today? very younby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but first... they took the dog for re-homing... so that's good. They questioned me like I was a serial killer. :laughing They wanted to know "why" I had fed it because if you feed a stray dog they consider it YOUR dog at that point. So I asked them: "You mean the next time this happens you just want me to starve the dog?" They had no answer for that. Also: Thby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
