When hiring the youngest coach in the league, potential ownership needs reassurances that the young HC won't crap the bed, bringing in a long tenured HC as your DC allows the young coach to concentrate on his side of the ball, trusting the other side to the veteran HC, and also having a sounding board when the inevitable unexpected happens. I don't get the feeling that McVay is looking for that aby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteoldschoolramfan I don't get the Ravens Defense love for our DC.......Rams smoked em' and should have won that game. Go to Seattle, thank you.......I like that for our Rams! That defense housed the Niners and the Lions. To paraphrase Herm Edwards, you play to beat your opponents not to self scout your own offense. I want a defense the Niners and Lions can't handle.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteroman18 he may take another if he makes him like an assistant HC or something like that..... But wouldn't Rams DC be a more attractive position, DC of an established Super Bowl Team instead of a new coaching staff? Wouldn't McVay's DC have a better chance at a HC position than the Seabags DC? Unless they are really good friends with the new HC.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
is there another position guy on the Ravens we can poach for our DC instead of staying a position coach at Baltimore? What about Anthony Weaver (DL and assistant HC), Orr (inside LB) or Hewitt (defensive pass game coordinator)?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRockRam Wentz was an emergency call. And when he got to play, he was mainly a runner. Not a very glowing endorsement about running McVay's system. I understand he had only been around awhile. But, for Pete's Sake, the guy had been around for several games, sat in all the meetings, had the playbook for several weeks...and he was a seasoned vet. So, while he did help to win that Sby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
My question isn't with Staley the man it is the Fangio scheme. If the Fangio scheme was still handcuffing the league's best offenses, keeping OC's up at night then sure I am leading the charge to bring Staley back. However even Fangio isn't finding success with his defense right now, so why bring in his top student? The defense that has success against the McVay/Shanny offenses is the Raven's defby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Truth be told who really handled a healthy Ram's offense this year? We lost games but very few when completely healthy and in those cases very few were because the offense got handled, it was just as easily ST disasters or our undermanned defense were just as likely to be the reason. The only key to beating the healthy Rams was being able to get pressure on Stafford. That is not a scheme thing thby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Staley for me is a no or at least a not yet. For me what separates Staley from say a Morris or a Spags is I am not sure if he is a good defensive coordinator or just a one trick pony. Spags and Morris have been in a lot of locker rooms and have excelled at different styles of defenses over that time in essence they have a lot of tricks in their bag of tricks. Staley has YET to prove if he is JUSTby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRidgewood Ram Only Noteboom has some value, and that's as a backup. True but as the top backup at 4 different positions, that makes you practically a starter.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
How you say? A first round player that underachieves where he was drafted and disappointed. However after marinating in the Ram's culture and more importantly after being exposed to the Aaron Donald Effect. Fowler, Floyd, A'Shawn Robinson, all fit that bill and benefited from it. Heck while a Hall of Famer Von Miller fits that bill to because by the time we got him, he wasn't doing much more thanby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I was reading the article and it occurred to me that of the teams that are requesting interviews for DC the Rams are the best location for the top DC to go. to. I saw the other teams looking for DC's Falcons, Titans, Packers and Giants. Of all those teams except for the Packers there is either a rookie coach or a non playoff team. Now while the Packers are a playoff team, McVay has a bigger treeby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 They are the two that will go. Could have said Long but I think he at least goes through camp and they see if he can contribute for depth in Hugbee's absence. I see no reason to release Skowronek. Does not make much and is a valuable depth piece at WR that can play multiple spots and all the ST units. That last part is a minus any player associated with this year's teams, much leby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Without an elite qb, the Lions are a younger lesser version of the Niners, elite skill positions but a mediocre qb that limits them. With less elite players on defense.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Lions are rumored to be about to lose their innovative OC. Will the Lions offense fall off like say the Eagles did this year? Obviously their defense isn't what carries them so if their offense drops off they might be in trouble. We have seen this happen before.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I need to see those Deebo tears of anguish again. I don't care if Taylor Swift catches those tears in a chalice and drinks them. I don't like either team but there are levels to this and my hatred of the Niners dwarfs my annoyance at the Chiefs.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit If you want to play that game, can Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen or Dak Prescott do it? What do you say? I say hopefully the Rams prove to be the team that vanquishes the Chiefs dynasty because that means the Chiefs beat the Niners in two weeks.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
If both teams get a ring then , Lions get quick ring and Young stars, Rams get quicker ring with aging better qb. That is a valid argument BUT sans a quick ring...RAMS WIN!!!by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
