but Oct 6th would be pushing it for a motorcycle trip. Hell, I got pounded by hail and lightening once in Tucumcari, NM in Sept. 
Had to take shelter at a Motel... well, until I realized that unlike the motel the 7/11 across the street had hot coffee and doughnuts, and beer if the storm was VERY persistent... so I risked life and limb to cross the street. - JamesJM
