Cars and appliances are the best example of things getting super high tech but the quality has gone straight to hell. I have had TWO very experienced Appliance techs and even a SALES PERSON tell to buy middle of the road because REGARDLESS, the life expectancy of a Washer / Dryer is 7-8 years??? Simple parts that used to be a $70 repair are damn near the cost of a brand new unit.
