Until the 'major' tech companies cease producing any laptops and desktops. They are moving to phones and Pads for everything.
Several of the apps I need, (mostly financial apps... investment accounts, bank accounts) have NO laptop or desktop version. Just this morning, for example... I got a check for my almonds... still 'sick' I did not want to go to the bank so I used 'mobile deposit'. If you don't know it's an app to deposit checks from your home via the internet. I HAD to use my phone because that option isn't available on a laptop or desktop.
I think all of my credit cars, (I don't have very many), have apps more powerful than available on a desktop or laptop.
I HATE that... but I understand it perfectly well. 99% of the people I know no longer use a laptop or a desktop... only their smartphones... or a Pad occasionally.
During the games I'm in front of my TV with my laptop.... everyone else in the room is following the game of their choice but on their phones.
My grandkids PREFER watching movies on their phones rather than on a computer or, get this, even the large screen TV's in my home.. I have 4 of them.
I think if I was suddenly transported to the planet Xyxpherp where the Crankeid's reside I would feel less out of place than I do in my living room.
