Having a major hit Soundtrack didn't hurt it any either

That Soundtrack spawned like 10-12 songs that got major air play , I don't think any soundtrack , before or since has even come close to that , at least with original matrial

Disco was at the the peak of its popularity , John Travolta had just become a major super star ,coming off of Welcome Back Kotter

it was the perfect storm

someone in may family owned the album , I don't remember who , it was probably mom's , but we all listened to it

I'm not sure how old I was when I finally watched the movie for the first time , probably years later , when it came out on VHS , what ever that was
