Seriously, don't read this if you're thinking of watching Mindhunter.

About that issue with the character Bill Tench's adopted son. That just did not compute for me. IMHO that was a far more serious issue than the characters considered it. They just accepted the 'excuse', (which yes, could have been correct), without any doubt whatsoever.... never questioned it. I don't think that would be possible, not considering the horrendous crime committed. I'm NOT overlooking that this was a child... and that HAS to be VERY considered.... still, WOW.... that would be traumatic. AND.... Bill could just leave home for work with that going on? I'd be hysterical... life would shut down and my only focus would be 'the problem'. - JamesJM
