1979!! My Dad took me to my very first Jacksonville University Dolphins Basketball game at the Jacksonville Coliseum. I had NO idea who we were playing. It was FREEEEZING outside, so I wore my SEARS Catalog Rams sweatshirt.....Rams Varsity jacket (Remember those yellow plastic sleeves???) and my Rams knit cap with the yellow ball on top. As we walked through the Coliseum to the Concessions and then to our seats, I had no less than a dozen J.U. fans BOO me, tell me "YOU GUYS SUCK!!!" etc etc. I THOUGHT I was encountering people who hated the Los Angeles Rams. We get to our seats and THEEEEEN, I hear the PA guy say ......"And the starting five for the Virginia Commonwealth RAMS are".......... LOLOLOL V.C.U.'s colors were ALSO yellow and blue (Though a darker blue)?????? LOLOL I'm sure people thought I was odd by REALLY rooting for JU!
