We had a similar problem with our tv power on our Sony Bravia smart tv a few months ago and were freaked out.... unsure of what to do. We didn't call anybody for help, though. Instead I scoured the internet until I found a solution. After I followed the steps to fix it and it worked, I printed out the instructions and taped them to the back of the tv so when it happens again, I'd know what to do. It has saved us mucho grief cause we've had to use it a couple of times and it worked like a charm! This is what worked for us and our tv specifically.

Troubleshooting our Sony Bravia TV

1. Power off tv
2. Unplug external connections (HDMI cables) from tv
3. Unplug tv cord from wall outlet
4. Hold in power button on back of tv for 30 seconds
5. Now plug tv cord back in wall outlet
6. Make sure cords are inserted securely on back of DVR
7. Turn on tv using the power button on back of tv

TV should be working ok now.
