On a cold and windy night in NW Iowa , it had rained most the night before and up to noon on game day before it stopped , but a strong breeze the rest the day helped dry out the field a bit as tempatures dipped down into the 40's by game time
Not only was it Homecoming , it was also against one of our oldest rivals , that goes all the way back to my parents day
and what we like call the Corn Bowl
past our first big test of the season , taking down the 10th rank team in the state
tough game , they scored first and with three lead changes in the first half , over all it was a pretty even game , we just made a couple more plays then they did
this pretty much assure's a place in the State Playoffs
this is the game we really needed , this is really the first game so far where our starters actually played the whole game , and next week , we're off to face one of our other oldest rivals , and last years District Champions , and the only team that beat us in the regular season
so next week game will pretty much be for the diistrict championship
