if I can figure out how to phrase this. How much does 'emotional' come into play for you as far as actual 'skill'. Lemme' try to better explain:

If I love a song I can do things that I can NOT do, even if it's exactly the same drum strokes, on a song I don't like. It drives me nuts, I HATE it, but it's fact.

For example... if I love the song I can play very quickly with my left hand, (or either hand but most noticeable with my left) and yet AFTER the song, or doing the same thing but to a different song I don't like nearly as much, I can't play nearly as fast.

For non-musicians... that ain't good, and in fact it's horrible.
