is pretty awesome.. I don't have any problems watching old movies and getting past the special effects.. Like The Abyss.. when it came out, it WAS the state of the art special effects movie.. and I'll watch it every time it comes on, now..
Jaws has a LOT of mistakes in it, that even the very first time I saw it I noticed, but was unaffected by.. It has some flat out WEIRD editing at times.. For example, when Hooper is examining Chrissy Watkins remains and he picks up her severed arm.. it really obvious the audio was edited to remove something and its a very blunt transition..
There's lots of continuity issues - people walk into the town hall meeting and NOTHING is on the green board, then Quint starts talking at the shark drawing is on the board.. The number of yellow barrels is off by one barrel most of the second day at sea.. I could go on all day.. I've never let any of that stuff bother me, although once you see it, you can't un-see it lol
I still can't believe we drove 70 miles to Lawton both Friday and Saturday to see iMax and the 3D version.. I HIGHLY recommend the 3D version.. amazing how much 3D effect there is in a movie that was not shot for 3D..
I think I got the RealD 3D figure out.. its all based on depth of field.. had there been no depth of field in the movie, they couldn't have done a 3D version..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
