Central Ca. has a 'Player of the Week' award every week... entirely a popularity contest BUT... they do post the players stats so you can vote on them. Both O and D...
And what completely astounds me are the stats... off the charts phenomenal. For example: Last week a QB from a HS near here had 7TD passes and I think he threw for something like 475yds. Every week it's the same... some HS somewhere will play a very weak team and record astronomically good stats... last year some RB had over 400yds rushing in a single game.
And it's actually not aways a great HS against a very weak opponent, (mostly but not always). That's HS football... I'm sure it must be the same in Texas?
At the end of this year if you check the 'National' stats there is no doubt that some QB somewhere will have averaged near 450yds passing PER GAME!!!!!!!
