they are good friends... and I think they simply are caught up in new 'tech' that causes misunderstanding.. they certainly aren't TRYING to be confrontative... they just don't understand... so I have no wish to just write them off.

It's a new world, Mama... I get that people my age, even younger than me... don't fully 'get' what in the hell is going on. You are VERY competent in tech... but many are not. My wife is one who is not. And I get that... She doesn't know Facebook from Text from Email.
