I spent 35+ years as a Firefighter and was a bit of a fire bug as a kid. I NEVER EVER lit fires in a house or risked any property damage by I sure loved to build bon fires or burn models. It's a REAL wonder that me or my Brother were not seriously injured when we TRIED to recreate the Hindenburg disaster with my old AMT plastic model of the Hindenburg. We poked a hole in it, poured gasoline in, placed a firecracker in the hole and lit it. THEN, we knew little of the dangers of the VAPORS of gas being more dangerous than the liquid. Luckily, the model had small cracks in the 2 piece hull seam. The firecracker lit and just a couple of cups of gas lit. We were disappointed!! LOL The worst I have been burned was when about 8 years old,I placed my hand on a Giant sparkler that had JUST gone out. THAT burned my palm GOOD!
