General Admission Concerts... Did The Who stampede in Cincy end that or...

Was it a few years later?? I can still hear my Brother say...... "You can kiss General Admission good bye" the night the news broke of the stampede in Cincy, before The Who concert....1979 or 80. That night, he mentioned how worried he was at his very first concert....KISS, here at the old Coliseum arena, in Nov 1976. He said when he was reaching in his pocket to get his ticket everyone at the door was leaning 35 degrees. Had anyone fallen, it would have been bad. Once they got through the doors, it was a MAD sprint. His ticket was $7 and they wound up being 20 feet from the stage. My Brother was 6 years older and got to see all the GOOD bands when they were in their prime. Most were General Admission. I know it was dangerous back then but these days, Ticketmaster has made Concerts a CRAP FEST. The average Schmuck has to pay $$$$$$$$$$$ to sit a mile from the stage.
