to see what they think ?
my high high school has been through the name change 3 times now
but it always had to do with consolidation , and had nothing to do with what you're going through
when schools consolidate, neither of the schools joining ever wanted to use the others mascot , so they always compromised
this has happened all over the state , most of the independent schools I played against in high school no longer exist
in the mid 80's , a few years after I graduated , we entered into a sports sharing agreement with one of our rivals ,but our schools still remanded independent , we changed our mascot then
that lasted until the mid 90's
then we wanted to full consulate and just make one school , but the other school didn't want to , so we said , the heck with you and consulted with another of our main rival , so , we changed our mascot again
then..............in 2011 , the first school we had sports sharing only with, decided they wanted to now do sports sharing with us , sooooooooooooo , we changed our mascot , yet once again
now , our sports sharing / consolidation thing is a little confusing , as technically , we still remain two separate schools , be we share all sports , and now they also do a grade sharing , where all thier high school students , go to our school building , like I said , it's complicated
but it has mostly to do with money , as long as they remain two separate school , they get more money from the state
as far as game films
about 6 or 7 years ago , some local guys , only one of which I knew , got a bunch of old game tapes from our local community college , I mean who knew right , our local community college had a whole library of old high school game tapes , and I'm not just talking my school , but lots
well , they putting together a pretty good highlight films of my Junior year
it's all grainy and in black and white , it's basically the game films we always used when scouting the team we would play next
it's poor video quality , but still fun to watch
Coyotes sounds like the perfect name for a school in the middle to Texas
so keep up the good fight man , don't let this cancel culture win
