There is no REAL reason to change the name/mascot other than that's what people on the school board wanna do.. I was told one member of the board objected to the motion and was jumped on by other members until she backed off.. There's something not right going on.. Like I've said 397on a VERY quiet bond election that charged us city property tax payers $238 million to build these two new schools.. They've already admitted they can't build them for that price, so now all kinds of hell is breaking lose in what they're going to concede to get them built..

I was also informed that on election day, there was electioneering going on at the voting locations, with volunteers promoting the bond to people before they stepped in the booth to vote.. and then, still, they only got 397 votes - out of 104K citizens.. Its sickening..

I've been pretty visual on facebook where I run two different facebook groups for the school.. I've posted numerous posts firing up the troops to sign the petition, but have had 2-3 people relentlessly dog on me to give up and mind my own business.. I've told then sternly that they don't know me very well if they think I can be intimidated.. In many ways, this is a much smaller mirror of what's going on in the country right now.. the 1% bossing the 99% around.. and being arrogant and cocky about it.. We may go down, but we'll go down swinging.. and, as God is my witness, if we are blown off and they change the name/mascot anyway, I will bust my ass to make sure every one of them is voted off the school board next term..
