I have read similar articles about the milder symptoms associated with omicron. However, I have the same questions raised in the article. Specifically, the median age of South Africa is just under 28 yeas old. Where I live the median age is 44 years old. Will the older population be as successful as weathering omicron as the younger population? Especially those who have not been previously infected. Currently, in Ontario the doubling rate of omicron is 2.2 days, so it won't be long until we seeing how this plays out. Glad I got my booster though.
