Two jump out at me........ MASH "Death Takes A Holiday".... Hawkeye, BJ and Hot Lips try to keep a dying Soldier alive long enough to pass Midnight on Christmas, so his family won't think of Christmas being the day he passed. They fall short by about 40 minutes. I love the scene where Hawkeye opens up the clock on the wall and pushes the hand to 12:05.
Second..... All In The Family "The Draft Dodger". Meathead has a Buddy stay for Christmas dinner who dodged the draft and had been living in Canada. All the while, Archie has a friend over for the same dinner who lost his Son in Vietnam. The last 5 minutes of that episode, when it comes to a head, is one of the most powerful moments I have seen on TV.
