Who was always a favorite of mine, and yes...., gorgeous! Many movies come to mind, but here's two fun ones.
At Swords Point (early 50's).... It's suppose to be a movie about the sword fighting son's of the original Musketeers. But as it turns out one of them had a daughter... guess who plays the swashbuckling young woman? Yep.
And the early 90's, a lessor known Romantic Comedy starring John Candy.... Only The Lonely. Candy is lovable Irish beat cop who falls for a morticians daughter who happens to be Italian. I read somewhere that when casting for a strong-willed, fiery, completely overbearing, and over protective Irish woman to play the part of Candy's mother. Apparently, there was a very long line of candidates trying for the part. But they couldn't find the perfect actress to play this very important role. Out of nowhere walks the legendary redhead Maureen O'Hara. Now a senior, and long retired from films. I don't recall what made her want to make another movie, or a comeback. I do recall that she didn't even have to addition. She was the immediate choice, and she was great in the movie. As a nice addition, they got a senior Anthony Quinn to play the neighbor who had a 'passion' for her....
Neither of these were amongst her greatest films.... but I enjoyed them.
