I’m not sure what you’re saying.
All I’m saying is that when I travel down east (as we say up here on Lake Superior) to Toronto, Ottawa or anywhere in Quebec , which are all in the same time zone as where I live, the sun goes down much earlier in the day than it does up here. I love that where I live, during the early summer, I can still be outside in the light of day after ten PM. As long as time zones still exist, and the curvature of Earth remains the same, what I describe would not change with the elimination of daylight saving. Sorry if it seemed as though I was trying to connect daylight savings time to my love of the long summer days in northwestern Ontario.
I spent a school year in Toronto back in the late 80s and I was shocked by how early in the day it became dark outside. It was depressing.
