You make it sound like the deceased was standing there alone and he was pointing a loaded gun directly at her. From what I understand he was-for some reason- pointing the gun at the camera she was operating. There appears to be so much negligence all around-again, from what I read-that it would not surprise me if involuntary manslaughter charges were brought against Baldwin and even others. The person in charge of handing the weapon -prop or not-is supposed to check to make sure it is safe and not loaded with live ammunition. And the person who is going to be the shooter and the last one to hold the gun before being fired is also responsible for making sure of the same. One thing not clear is why was it pointed at the camera unless that was part of the scene (i.e. from the target's viewpoint in the film). Were they actually filming at the time or was this a rehearsal? Lots of negligence all around the set.
Latest reports-based on the search warrant-is that Baldwin was reportedly rehearsing pointing the gun at the camera.
