They showed a brief shot of the upper deck around the 4th or 5th inning and there were tons of empty seats towards the outer edges of the upper deck. For YEARS, Dodgers fans ALWAYS crammed that place. It could be a Tuesday game in May. Did not matter. Is it because of troublesome fans keeping others away? Someone posted something about that on here a few years ago. I also used to work with a fella who grew up in So Cal and he said his Uncle stopped going about 5 years ago. He had outfield bleacher seats. He said the fights were getting more n more routine. What I saw last night was not a late arriving crowd....Not in the 4th or 5th inning. I find it a shame because, as a kid, I was always impressed with how the Dodgers ALWAYS crammed that place. Dodgers are too good of a team for this to happen. I don't bring this up to sling mud because I used to be a Dodgers fan back when they had Cey, Lopes, Garvey etc. They were my NL team....before we got cable TV and WGN. I USED to like the Royals when Jacksonville was their AA team for many years. Just weird seeing so many empty seats during such a big game.
