It was a year ago that I found our cat, Bella, dead in bushes behind our house. Being that it was a Sunday, we decided yesterday to do a toast to her by her marker....and shed a few tears. Just 12 days later, on my Wife's BIRTHDAY, it would get worse. Our other cat, Colonel, came home BADLY mangled by another animal. He did not make it. That was a BAD time! We cried for days. I wondered if I could ever have another cat. I thought it would be April or May before I could ever even give it a remote thought. SST gave me some good advice and put it in a way I did not think of.....Get another cat or two and soon. It will heal AND give a happy life to two cats out there. Nov 17th, I got our cat "Max". Two days later, my Wife brought "Lily" home. Talk about theraputic! They have been a BIG TIME joy!
Awwww, bittersweet story, Gator. So glad you have two furry friends to replace your old ones.
