German food isn't all that popular
especially here in Iowa and Minnesota , that has a large German population , I googled German restaurants near me , and the restaurants that came up , I would have never considered them German , at least not primarily German , their more just restaurants that serve pretty much anything sit down restaurants serve
another one we lack is Italian restaurants , take away the Pizza joints , there really isn't any Italian restaurants around either , at least not full restaurants , probably something actual Italians don't want to hear me say , but I love me some Olive Garden , but the closest one near me is in Sioux Falls , but Olive Garden is a priority every time we go to Sioux Falls
now as far as Mexican and Chinese restaurants around here , you can't swing a dead cat without hitting one
