Brach's hasn't always made Cinnamon Disks. Years ago, Brach's manufactured and sold Cinnamon Balls. Cinnamon Disks did not exist back then. I know because my grandmother was addicted to them. She bought them by the bags full and used to suck on them while she did her knitting and crocheting. The candies used to get brittle, though, and sometimes they'd cut your tongue. I think that's why the company stopped making them that way and changed from balls to disks. I think they also did something to the recipe as well because cinnamon disks just don't taste as good as they used to. I can't remember exactly when Brach's made the change but I think it was in the late 70's or early 80's.
