Youth Jr's.. grandson scores 2 TD's and 1 Int. So all in all a phenomenal weekend of family sports concluded... AHHHHH, BUT....
One must be humbled.... and today will test me. Family Reunion time! My Mom's side of the family. During my life I've never been very close to that side of my family... they didn't live nearby the way my Dad's side of the family did. And mostly... they are of a different faith than I. And whereas I shy away from those topics my Mom's side of the family will show up at the reunion today armed for war to let me know how everything I am is wrong.
It's ok, no pity necessary, I'm quite used to it. When the preaching begins I can these days quietly fade into reliving my grandson's game and silently, and somewhat smugly, enjoying the bliss of being 4-1. I will utter the obligatory and condescending "Um Hum, yes, Ah, I see"... and go about with my daydreams.
It's not really as bad as I make it out to be. - JamesJM
