So....OF COURSE, that makes me and Paul McCartney related! LOL Seriously, though she had been in the States since around 1900, she maintained a strong accent. She came to the US at the age of 13 or 14. She passed away at age 97, in May 1983, when I was just about to finish 10th grade. The Actress Kate Winslet's voice has some similarities. Especially the way she says her A's.

I REEEEEEEEALLY wish, as a youngster, I had paid MUCH closer attention to her stories. I recall hearing her journey through Ellis Island. Came VERY VERY close to being sent back because her Brother was very ill. Had to wait in some sort of quarantine status for weeks before they could proceed.
