Living with 3, count em', 3 indoor cats. Until 2 years ago, I think, I had never had a cat in my life. Outdoor cats yes... tame outdoor cats.

PLUS... we have a herd of wildcats in my yard. I have a big yard. And I'm pretty sure a bunch of cats are not referred to as a 'herd'. Lemme' look that up. WOW.. it's a "Clowder". That makes no sense at all. I'm going to stick with "herd".

My grandson has semi-tamed one of the wild cats... he can pet it, hold it. But the wild cat doesn't like me one bit.

Now you know what's coming with a herd of wild cats living nearby, right? Close your eyes if you don't want to hear this; One day, oh yes it's coming, I will start my pickup and hear a horrible screech coming from beneath my hood. That's happened to me before... and it can be horrible.

Our first cats... the ones from two years ago... paid $100 each for them from an adoption agency. Both died... one by dogs and the other of an unknown ailment... Vet never figured it out. The 3 we currently have my grandson found abandoned at his job site... they are doing great. Cocoa, Chowder, and LeRoy. Not one of them of 'sound mind'.

I am the firm opinion that you can't train a cat. I know some of you will disagree but you're wrong. What you assume as 'trained' behavior is actually YOU having been trained by the cat. Cats are sneaky, devious, prone to random attacks of your feet, and demanding. They're also more entertaining that anything you'll find on TV other than Ram games.
