Have to admit , that one kinda surprised me , I did expected BYU , Cincinnati and Houston , and I thought Boise State would be the 4th one they let in
just thought Central Florida's location wasn't a good fit for the Big 12
although Central Florida has a pretty good football program , can't say I've ever followed them, or any of their other sports , like Basketball , etc
losing Texas and Oklahoma hurts ,
the Big 12 is already the premier conference when it comes to basketball and adding Houston, Cincinnati and BYU even enhanced that
But now with Central Florida joining a Power 5 conference , and a premier national TV contract , will be curious how that affects Central Florida's recruitment of local talent there in Florida , at least in football
Talk is , the Big 12 isn't done expanding yet , Boise State and Memphis State are still two schools at the top of the list to join the Big 12 in wave two
also , there is some talk , but lesser likely , a couple Pac 12 schools could also move to the Big 12 , with Arizona , Arizona St , Utah and Colorado being mentioned
they've said that 40 schools have applied for Big 12 membership
