The Cards-Cubs played a double-header today. The game tonight was a make-up of a rained out game from July 11. Cardinals won the afternoon game 8-2 and they won the make-up game tonight 12-4. They've now tied the franchise record for most consecutive wins in a season. The last time they won 14 games in a row was in 1935. IF they win tomorrow, they'll break that record and stand at 15 consecutive games. As well as they're doing, though, a WildCard spot is still not a given. They have 8 more games to play in the regular season and they have to win 4 of them to clinch a WildCard spot, I believe.
They're playing lights out right now.
