My grandson and I are going to take a loop off the main freeway and follow the original Route 66. This route will take us thru Peach Springs.... which you don't know, but actually you do!
Peach Springs was the inspiration for the town of "Radiator Springs" in the movie "Cars".
So, my expectations... lots of ruins. Ruins of old gas stations, motels, gift shops. Actually today it's kind of 'back on the map' because it's the route taken to get to the new "Skywalk" over the Grand Canyon. If you don't know it I'll post a photo... you will have heard of it. - JamesJM
P.S. No, the Skywalk is not in our Itinerary but who knows?
