we'd go down to West Palm Beach every winter (Holiday) and I would be in the back of the T-Bird with my little sister.....my mom would be getting car sick having to look backwards into the rear seats with my sister screaming/yelling "STOP...STOP IT"....Dad would pull over and threaten to put me in the trunk, or leave me at a gas station.....
The thing is I was really an angel and it was my sister setting me up a good bit of the time! It was a 2 day trip, always breaking it up around the Georgia/FLA border.....sometimes dropping off at St. Augustine and check out that Fort....loved that place....then down A1A the rest of the way for the ocean views....
Those were truly the days, sitting in the back looking at all those crazy signs for someplace that offered some stupid thing.....You are only 5 miles from so and so....you are only 3 miles from so and so....HERE IS SO AND SO....you just past so and so.....LOL
We do most of our trips now by plane, I have a strange aversion for putting miles on our vehicles....My truck is a 2014 and it just hit 25,000......her Mazda is a 2010 but it has a little over 45,000. Needless to say every comments on their conditions.....I never drive with food in my truck, don't like to smell it up.....
Your trip is something that I would have to rent a car for......by the way it will be interesting to see if the crater looks smaller now.....You know like things always seem bigger when you're small. Don't know if a crater could look like that or not...LOL....
