but that would definitely be too much.

I actually like driving, especially if it's "new country"... and I love ANY new country - desert, forest, marsh, plains... love it all. This trip, however, will only involve a shorter section that will be new to me. From Miami, Arizona up to I-40. BUT... nearly all of it will be new to my grandson... he's never even seen the Grand Canyon.

We tried to work in a side trip to Roswell. My grandson loves anything UFO... he hasn't made up his mind if they're real or not but he still loves reading about them, watching documentaries, etc. I have pretty much made up my mind, (don't exist), BUT... I also love playing with the idea.

Roswell just added too many miles. We have to leave on a Monday and be back by Friday afternoon at the latest to see one of my other grandson's HS football game.. if not for that... we were going to see Roswell AND Carlsbad Caverns. - JamesJM
