As the eyes of umpires grow older and pitchers now throwing 100 mph regularly the time in which umpires see the ball is shorter and shorter. I've seen more bad calls this year than ever-and I fear it will get worse each year. So why can't MLB do what they do in tennis-whether the ball is on the line or not is determined by a computer. If you notice in the US Open there are no linesmen.
