People are growing cynical of sports. The Olympics, just like EEEEEVERY other sport has too many stories of through the roof involvement of money. Turning it into a podium for Social statements does not help. All of us on here are Sports fans or we would not be here. So odds are, we will catch some of the Olympics. But just like the NFL,MLB etc...casual fans are finding other stuff to do. I have to be honest, after the opening ceremonies, coverage by NBC has been better. Overall, I have always been a casual observer of the Olympics.
