Speaking Jet Skis....

Monday I had my first narrow escape from an accident... a bad one. I was at full speed on my pontoon boat, (I have a 150hp on it and it's actually pretty fast on the water.. not like a ski boat of course, but still fast).... when a young kid on a Jet Ski came up behind me only about 10' off my port side (proud of me for using the word "port"? ) then cut immediately in front of me before I saw him. It was close.

Our lake levels are very low.... but the lake I go too is big enough that even with very low levels it's still pretty big with quite a bit of room. Monday I was expecting hellacious crowds due to it being the 4th of July weekend but it didn't turn out too bad. However... because of the low levels we're down to the 3rd launch site and it's not very developed... meaning very little room for the number of boats that can launch, load, at one time. We had to wait about an hour. - JamesJM
